Thanksgiving Day is a family holiday.  All over the country, husbands and wives, Children and old people, from the city to town, and from the town to the village, all people return to their hometown to spend the holidays.  People who can't return home, it also can make a long distance calls to chat with their parents and families and share their details.  Thanksgiving dinner is virtually the same across the country. The table is always  filled with all kinds of delicious food. The main food is turkey. Eating punpkin pie  let people remember the Indians gave the first settlers gift.
